Is Ozone A Viable Treatment For Prostate Cancer?

Ozone (O3) is three atoms of oxygen bound into a molecule. We breathe air that contains oxygen (O2), which contains 2 atoms of oxygen. You might say that ozone is super oxygen. Ozone has a purifying effect on the body, and it could be a very good treatment for cancer and many other illnesses, if it were recognized by the medical industry and the pharmaceutical companies. To date, the USFDA has not approved ozone to be used for medical purposes.

The pioneer of ozone therapy

Dr. Frank Shallenberger has done extensive medical research with real patients with real diseases and got positive results using ozone therapy. Dr. Shallenberger has been treating people since 1978. During his research, Dr. Shallenberger has used ozone on people with cancer, diabetes, autoimmune disorders and many other diseases and conditions with very good results.

Ultraviolet light

Ozone is made naturally by the UV rays of the sun reacting with oxygen molecules. Ultraviolet light splits up oxygen molecules into single atoms, and then some of the atoms combine into triple oxygen atoms, (O3). As far back as the 1940s, research was being done with ultraviolet light. They found that wounds and infections exposed to the ultraviolet light were healing. Blood that was removed from the body and irradiated with UV light and then transfused back into the patients were helping terminally ill patients recover. The researchers may not have known back then why UV light was healing people, but now we know that UV light promotes the formation of triple oxygen in the blood. Today, in many areas around the world, doctors are using ozone therapy in the form of major and minor auto-hemotherapy, ozone sauna and rectal insufflation to treat diseases including prostate cancer.

Types of ozone therapy

Minor auto-hemotherapy is an ozone treatment that involves taking a small amount of blood from the patient and infusing it with ozone, then returning the super-oxygenated blood back to the patient. This is a very quick and efficient way delivering ozone to the body. Major auto-hemotherapy is another ozone treatment that involves removing a larger amount of blood, up to 300 ml, into a heparinized flask loaded with ozone. The blood is mixed with the heparin and ozone and infused back into the patient over a period of time. Rectal insufflation is essentially an ozone enema. The patient would need to clean out his/her bowels, and then ozone gas could be administered to the rectum. The patient needs to hold the ozone gas in the colon for up to 30 minutes. This treatment is reported to be as effective as major auto-hemotherapy. The ozone sauna is a treatment in which the whole body is exposed to ozone.

Oxidation

As soon as ozone is administered to the body, in microseconds, it is instantly broken up into simple oxygen. The extra oxygen in the blood quickly starts the oxidation process of cancerous cells, bacteria, viruses, and other impurities. Ozone actually cleans up the inside of the body of pathogens and cancer cells. Disease is caused by free radicals, which cause oxidant stress on the body. Ozone, an oxidant in itself, is able to reverse the process of disease by reversing oxidant stress.

Fears and misconceptions

Ozone must be used with caution, because it cannot be inhaled. Inhaling ozone in could kill you, just like inhaling water could kill you. Oxygen and water are essential to life, yet they must be used appropriately. One reason that ozone has not been accepted by the medical community and by the general public is because ozone has a bad reputation of being a pollutant; this is a misconception. Ozone is a necessary part of our upper atmosphere to block the dangerous UV rays of the sun. Medical ozone is successfully being used to treat people with the AIDS virus and other diseases in Africa and in Germany and other European countries. Many people with prostate cancer, and other forms of cancer could benefit from ozone therapy. When will the US get on board and try something new and different?
